We spent over 9K USD for 3 people/6 nights for this vacation and should be more satisfied in my opinion. Unique location, since the entire surface of the property is its own, being able in the future to build a multi-storey building. With all services nearby, such as schools, shops, and a bus stop.
They do a poor job of changing out the menu in the main food venue. Wonderful Loft, next to the Santander Festival Palace, and less than a km from Magdalena beach. Set on the beach, the luxurious Gran Hotel Elba Estepona combines superb. The food is the same food over and over again every single day. The sun rises around 7am and doesnt set until 9.30pm and June should see 11. I get that, but perhaps a disclosure that I’d be waiting at the airport for 1.5 hours when I booked the shuttle might be in order then? When we went to get our money back at the resort, they refused to give our money back even though we didn’t ride the shuttle saying it was in the fine print they sent me in the email contract. Additionally, we reserved the Palace airport shuttle and when the shuttle was going to take 1.5 hours and had swarms of unhappy guests waiting for a long ride, we opted to take a taxi. We have no idea how a business can do this. We feel this is dishonest and downright wrong. We asked multiple times not be charged and were told no. So we were charged for an adult eating/drinking for a week that did not stay. We opted for the flexible cancellation price and when we needed to exercise it as a result of a guest not able to come, Palace would allow us to adjust the room but refused to allow us to adjust the all inclusive fees even though one person would not be there. We will not return to Palace Resorts ever again for the following reasons. The property was clean, well cared for, and in a good and safe location.
